About the Manath Family

The Manath family is one of the most important families among the ancient families in Thrikkakara. One of our ancestors, Ooran Uppuppa, who settled in Peechampilly parambu in the Kakkanad-Vazhakkala area, formed a family branch called Manath Peechampilly. Through the lineage of one of Ooran Uppuppa's brothers, the Chathanvelipadam - Panchikkaparambu family branches and the Manath family branches through the lineage of two other brothers are living in the Thrikkakara-Kakkanad areas (documentary evidence is yet to be found). Our family is spread over a vast area like Vazhakkala-Kakkanad-Thoppil-Thrikkakara-Padamughal-NGO Quarters. Our predecessors and the current generation have always been at the forefront in the formation and maintenance of the Thrikkakara Juma Masjid and the Padamugal Juma Masjid, as well as in various socially, culturally and religiously relevant organizations and activities.

The Manath Peechampilly Family Unit has been operating for over a decade with the aim of fostering the fellowship and cooperation of the wider Manath family members, getting to know each other and maintaining family ties.
